How Do CEREC One- Hour Crowns Work?
- First, Dr. Stutman will give you a full dental examination to determine that a CEREC restoration is most appropriate for your treatment. If it is, Dr. Stutman will prepare the affected tooth for restoration. Any decay or infected tissue will then be removed.
 - Next, Dr. Stutman will take digital impressions of your prepared tooth. These digital images are then sent to the CEREC computers for processing. This will only take a few minutes.
 - Next, the CEREC computer will convert your dental impressions into a 3-D virtual model. Dr. Stutman will use this information to design your crown. After a few more minutes, the design is finalized and sent to an in- office milling unit to be fabricated.
 - The CEREC milling unit will create your dental crown based on the final design. The crown is crafted from a ceramic block that perfectly matches the shade of your teeth. This step takes no more than twenty minutes to complete.
 - Finally, Dr. Stutman will place and adjust your new crown for proper fitting, and make any revisions if necessary. If the crown fits properly, it is bonded over the tooth, and thoroughly polished.

Lisa loathed the idea of going on a blind date. But a good friend finally convinced her to go on one with a smart and classy dentist from her hometown. With a few more days to go before the big date, Lisa was starting to get a little worried. In her opinion, she was looking better than she ever had, except for her smile. Lisa loved her coffee, and indulged in a cigarette or two here and there. She also enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner. Over the years, she noticed that these habits had begun to take a toll in her teeth. Instead of the bright white color they were in high school, now they had a yellowish hue and some brown spots near her gum line.
Having a smile that you are unhappy with is not an easy thing to live with, and can definitely affect the way you feel about yourself. Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, affects approximately 80 percent of Americans, and many of them do not even know. Fortunately, our doctors are able to treat your gum disease with
One thing that many people strive for is a beautiful, full smile.
