Dr. Rubino received a bachelor’s degree with honors from New York University and received his dental degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. There he received the Nancy Wender Award, given to the student in each class that attains the highest board score.

He is a skilled orthodontist and is ready to put his skills to work on your smile. In his free time he enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and golfing. Dr. Rubino is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, New York State Dental Association, Suffolk County Dental Association, and other professional organizations.

Last time, we talked about dental implants and why they’re important for the health of your smile. When people think of replacing missing teeth, their first thought is often dentures. Dentures are a traditional way to help restore function if you’ve lost all or nearly all of your teeth. However, they’re removable, so there’s always the risk of them slipping or coming loose in public.

Crowns and bridges can also be used to replace missing teeth. While these can be sturdier than dentures, they don’t do anything about the missing tooth roots. Your tooth roots are important because without them, you could lose bone from your jaw.
